I envision this site becoming an entire virtual jazz community catering specifically to the jazz enthusiasts of northern Thailand’s Chiang Mai.  We’ll start things off slowly with some candid jazz club reviews then on to musicians and club owners of note then the sky’s the limit.  Perhaps we’ll throw in a forum where we can all discuss the scene, the music, the harmonious lifestyle!

I’m new to jazz as a musical love.  Come with me on my journey to learn more about jazz’s roots, where its going and more specifically what’s happening in Chiang Mai with regards to the jazz music genre.  I’ll explore all the spots, talk to people who will inevitable lead me to places I’ve never even heard of and my exploration of all things jazz will be fruitful in the form of words, video, photography and audio posted here at Jazz in Chiang Mai.
